Synthesis and Characterisation of Na2Ba1-xEuxMg (PO4)2
Abstract: The Na2Ba1-xEuxMg (PO4) 2 (x=0, 1%, 3% and 5%) compound was prepared by high temperature solid state reaction method. The X-ray crystallographic studies were carried out using diffraction at 30oC in two theta range of 10-80o. The crystal structure of the sample is rhombohedral and the space group is P-3m1. The pure Na2BaMg (PO4) 2 doped with Europium form samples with good density and well defined morphology. Increase in doping leads to decreasing the grain size. FT-IR spectra of the samples are studied in the wavelength region of 250-4000 cm-1. Impedance and dielectric measurements are undertaken. Photoluminescence europium doped samples are studied.
