Software Testing Techniques: A Review Paper

Abstract: Software testing is an essential activity for ensuring software quality, reliability, security, and performance throughout the Software Development Life Cycle. This review paper presents an overview of major software testing techniques, including Black Box, White Box, and Gray Box testing, together with functional and non-functional testing approaches. It also discusses software testing process models, test automation, current challenges, and emerging trends such as Artificial Intelligence and continuous testing. The review highlights the strengths and limitations of different testing techniques and emphasizes that integrating multiple testing approaches provides more comprehensive defect detection and improved software quality assurance.
